ISSUE: 2015-16/6
MARCH 2016
FROM THE PRESIDENT

Dianne Luckett
2015-2016 Corporate President
Irby Electrical Distributor

The EWI Corporate Board met in Albuquerque, New Mexico for a weekend of face-to-face meetings in March.  Members of the EWI of Albuquerque Chapter and Board hosted a lovely reception for us at Member Firm Hotel, Andaluz and treated us to a tour of their historic hotel.  Another Member Firm, The Sheraton Uptown was the site for our stay and meetings.  Their hospitality and attention to detail during our stay was greatly appreciated.  If you have the opportunity to visit this beautiful city, please consider one of these Member Firm properties.  Thank you EWI of Albuquerque!

There are important discussions that take place during each of our monthly Board calls and these few face-to-face meetings.

The B/C/DP Chapter Grants were awarded to each chapter that applied, based on their request to utilize the funds for a 501c3 project benefiting their local communities.  The Corporate Office will be issuing the checks this week and forwarding to me for signature.  Because we require two signatures, I will then send to Jill for her signature as Treasurer and then to the chapters.

RFP's are available on the website for the following opportunities:
  • 2016 LCAM in Spokane
    • Printing
    • Photography
  • EWI Chapter and Corporate Jewelry

LEADERSHIP CALL

The Corporate Board will be scheduling a Leadership Call in the near future to go over first quarter financials and updates on EWI for Chapter Presidents and Vice Presidents. We will make that information available as soon as we can.

MEMBERZONE & REPRESENTATIVE ACCESS

We are in the final stages of confirming a clean data migration from MemberPoint to MemberZone and making the new database open for your use. Members of the Board as well as the Corporate Office Staff have been working to confirm accurate data. In going over the MemberPoint information, we found numerous inconsistencies and inaccuracies. We apologize for the delay, but we certainly did not want to launch something with incorrect information.

CORPORATE OFFICE UPDATE

As many of you are aware, Kristine Pepin was gracious to step in as interim Operations Manager for EWI during our time of transition last Fall. We are excited to announce that Kristine has accepted the permanent role as Director of Operations for EWI. She continues to go above and beyond in her efforts to provide excellent customer service to all of our representatives. We are very fortunate to have both Kristine and Kristen Harmston as a part of our team. They continue to work tirelessly to learn and implement our new member database.

LCAM 2016 UPDATES

We are excited about our upcoming LCAM in Spokane in September, 2016. EWI of Spokane is rolling out the red carpet to all representatives attending. Their Member Firms and chapter representatives are working diligently to make it a Leadership Conference and Annual Meeting to remember. We will have event updates, speakers and other information for you in the near future. In the meantime, we're always looking for national and international sponsors for this event and have sponsor letters for your use.
